(Somali Commentator)The minister of Information and National Guidance Osman Abdullahi Sahardid has formally informed the Media that around 5 million Somaliland shillings were stolen from the safe of SLNTV. In a press conference held at the Ministry of Information, the recently appointed minister Hon. Addani told to the media that the safe SLNTV was broken and a hefty money was stolen from the safe of Somaliland National Television SLNTV. “Last night, the office of the cashier of SLNTV was broken. At 7 a.m., I came to my office and heard the cashier telling that SLNTV safe was broken. She also told me that the amount of money stolen is 5 900 000 Somaliland shillings,” said Somaliland’s Information and National Guidance minister.
The minister also stated that he called the Criminal Investigation Department and the Commander of National Police Forces Brig Abdullahi Fadal Iman to investigate the burglary spree. Speaking about his reaction, Mr Addani said, “I swiftly urged the CID and the Police Commander Brig Fadal to investigate and find out the culprits – all the Ministry employees, particularly the night shift employee will be highly considered.”
On the other hand, the Minister of Information and National Guidance Hon Osman Abdullahi Sahardid rebutted all the allegations, stating that there is no strife or internal conflict between him and his deputy minister. “I have regularly discussed with the media in avoiding the flimsy lies,” added Addani.
