NAIROBI (Somali Commentator) – The capacity to deliver proper public services is expected to improve in the next five years. This follows the signing of a civil service capacity building project between the Government of Somaliland and the World Bank in the Kenyan capital Nairobi from where representatives from the two sides put pen to paper after satisfactory discussions. Accordingly the World Bank shall provide $10 within the project’s five years lifespan with the objective of facilitating enhancement of services provision skips within select civil servants. Without giving a breakdown it was informed that the five years capacity building program shall benefit civil servants in eight ministries and two parastatals namely the civil service institute and civil service commission. The Somaliland delegation at the signing ceremony in Nairobi and led by foreign minister Dr Saad Ali Shore includes Chairman of the civil service commission Mohamed Mihile Bogore, state minister for Labour & social services, chairman of the civil service institute Guleid Suleiman Hagoog, deputy planning minister Mohamed Hasan Ibrahim, and the civil service instititue’s training cordinator Hirsi Abdilahi Ismail.
