Somali Commentator – The presidential candidate of Kulmiye ruling party Hon. Muse Behi Abdi received the newly appointed UK ambassador to Somaliland and Somalia David Concar in his office, Hargeisa.
During the meeting, the two sides a wide range of issues pertaining the peace, vigilance and tranquility of Somaliland.
Musa Bihi Abdi and the ambassador also stressed the best way the two countries should bolster their bilateral ties since the two countries had an ample, historic relationship for many years.
Accompanied by Kulmiye’s spokesman Hassan Gafadhi, the chairman briefed the visiting envoy on the presidential elections slated to happen on 13th November this year. He also stated that the voter card distribution exercise is going on smoothly in Maroodi Jeeh and Togdheer regions and that the populace flock en masse to centres to collect their cards.
NEC is expected to commence the exercise in Sool and Sanaag regions next month.
Musa Behi Abdi urged the UK to help Somaliland study and write up research on the stringent droughts that battered Somaliland, leaving the millions of livestock dead.
