Somali Commentator –  The workers of Berbera workers have expressed their concerns over the International ports operator, DP World after increased layoffs undertaken by the firm.

Expressed their vent on the controversial UAE firm, the workers this time complain about the company’s effort to assessing tribal values among the staffers.

According to Hadhwanaagnews.com, the firm delivered 150 layoffs while the company is planning to fire 100 of its employees. The site also states that the firm is preparing their employment termination notices due to their age and health. Reliable sources indicate that the firm will summon some workers and will hand them their termination.

The aggrieved staff also vented the firm’s new plan of splitting relatives up which sparked a new controversy. DP World Berbera ordered workers to disclose their close relatives – and more precisely: husband, wife, father, mother, son, daughter, sister, brother, grand children, grand parents, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, in-Law, step parent, step children, and adopted children. Attached below is the affidavit obtained by hadhwanaagnews.com.
